Limited Warranty
Southland Trailer Corp. extends the following warranty to the original owner of its product: Within a period of 1 year in the case of Southland products, after initial purchase, and when owned by the original purchaser, and Southland products, or part thereof, that, upon inspection at Southland’s factory, is proven defective in material and workmanship, shall be repaired or replaced, at Southland’s option, without charge to the owner. This warranty shall not apply with respect to any defect arising from a buyer’s or users willful damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, failure to follow Southland’s instructions (whether oral or written), misuse, or alteration or repair of the product without Southland’s express written approval, or alteration including but not limited to modifications that require original components of the trailer to be removed and re-installed such as in the case for living quarter/office conversions. Furthermore if living quarter/office conversions occur it is the responsibility of the trailer owner to ensure that said components are properly sealed regardless of whether the components were removed/altered. Southland Trailer Corp. will not be responsible for any content damage that may occur.
This warranty does not apply to components not manufactured by Southland Trailer Corp. These components carry their own separate manufacturer’s warranty and are, but not limited to, the following: tires, batteries, rims, axle assembly, couplers and jacks. Separate warranty claim procedures may apply to these components. Purchasers must consult their owner’s package or the dealer from which the product was purchased regarding proper claim procedure. Additionally roofs on trailers are limited in warranty regarding leakage for a period of one year. In all cases, Southland’s liability is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts, or defective product, or refund of the purchase price, at Southland’s option. Southland shall have no liability for transportation, installation or removal costs. Southland products, or part thereof, cannot be returned without a Returned Goods Authorization number, which must be obtained by telephoning Southland at (403) 327-8212.
The Warranties set forth herein are exclusive and no other warranties, expressed or implied, including, without limitation, any warranty or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or use are made by Southland Trailer Corp. or authorized to be made with respect to the product.
Southland Trailer Corp’s sole obligation in the event of a defective part or product shall be to repair or replace, in Southland’s sole discretion, the defective product or part. In no event shall Southland be liable for any direct, special, incidental or consequential losses or damage (including but not limited to interruption of business or loss of business or profit) resulting from the use of or inability to use the product, any breach of warranty or any defect in the product even if Southland shall have been advised of the possibility of such potential losses or damage.
The warranty certificate must be completed by the purchaser and returned to Southland Trailer Corp., no later than ten (10) days from the date of purchase of the product. Failure to submit the certificate will automatically void the warranty. The dealer agrees that he will explain the warranty policy to the purchaser. The purchaser, by submitting this electronic form, states he has read and agrees to the conditions of the warranty.
